With the Dallas Museum of Art's new exhibit featuring the works of Jackson Pollock, Abstract Expressionist, the fourth and fifth graders have begun studying his work and methods. During this process students are working with balance and rhythm to create playful art pieces mimicking Pollock's style. They're learning terms like asymmetrical balance and nonobjective. Here are some examples of some of our students' works.
